Russia Sends Troops To Eastern Ukraine

Russian President, Vladimir Putin has ordered troops to march into separatist-held parts of Russia in what he terms a “peacekeeping” mission, just after signing decrees that recognize Moscow-backed regions as independent.
Western officials have warned that this move could be the beginning of a larger military operation targeting Ukraine, though it’s not certain if this is the invasion much warned about by Western leaders.
Putin heavily criticized the security between Kyiv and the West on Monday night. He nitpicked at Ukraine’s right to self-determination in the history of the USSR and formation of the Ukrainian Socialist Soviet Republic.
Calling the Eastern part of Ukraine “ancient Russian lands”, he states; “Ukraine has never had traditions of its own statehood.”
However, a senior US administration official countered the Russian President, saying that his speech was merely filled with claims to justify war and military action.
