Chief Imam and his 2 Sons kidnapped in Abuja.

Chief Imam of Yangoji central mosque in Kwali Area Council Abdullahi Abubakar and his two sons, Usman Abubakar and Ibrahim Abubakar was abducted by bandits at the weekend. The FCT Police Commissioner, Sunday Babaji on Monday confirmed that a rescue operation by the Police Anti kidnap Unit of the FCT police command has commenced a rescue operation in search of the chief Imam and his two sons.
He also said that operatives were searching thoroughly around the vicinity of the abduction noting that no stone would be left unturned.
According to an eyewitness, the bandits arrived at the Chief Imam’s house at about 11.50 pm on Friday 29th October 2021 in a multitude and kidnapped the trio.
10million naira ransom is said to have been made to family members but Police sources said they are not aware of any ransom demand.
CP Sunday Babaji has urged residents of Yangoji community to remain calm and provide intelligence that would help the police in arresting the culprits.
